Modalities

Modalities

Modalities are treatment exercises to help relax, heal or strengthen muscles. They can include devices to help people move, as well as specialized treatments. Modality devices include canes, walkers, wheelchairs and splints. Modalities can be used to help reconnect the physical connection to the nerve supply and improve electrical stimulation throughout the body. Modality treatments are useful for connective tissues, ligaments, tendons and joints and are highly useful in accelerating healing. Patients who are experiencing extremity pain, lack of mobility or decreased feeling through the body may need to seek modality treatment options to restore muscle tone and flexibility, while also advancing the recovery process.
