Brian Borden, PT, MSPT
Brian Borden specializes in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy treatment with an interest in manual therapy. He graduated from the University of North Florida with his MSPT degree in 2005. Prior to moving to Jacksonville, he completed his undergrad coursework in Chemistry at Indiana University. Brian has been a Florida resident for the past 16 years and enjoys golfing, biking, and working out in his free time.

Jerry Edwards, PTA
Jerry Edwards specializes in outpatient Orthopedic physical therapy with an interest in shoulder and back conditions. He graduated from Florida State Community College with his PTA degree in 2012. Jerry also received his Bachelors of Theology from Baptist College of Florida in 2001 and served as supervisor with the United States Postal Service before pursuing his PTA degree. He has participated in several intense education seminars that focus on shoulder biomechanics and rehabilitation. He enjoys being outdoors, playing golf, and practicing martial arts.

Sheila Edwards, PTA
Sheila Edwards is a native of Florida and has been in the medical field since graduating high school. Sheila worked 10 years as a certified nursing assistant at Cathedral Rehabilitation Center and Turtle Creek Nursing Home prior to pursuing her interest in physical therapy. Sheila began working as a physical therapy rehabilitation technician in 1999 and later graduated from Florida State College at Jacksonville in 2014 with an Associate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. In her spare time Sheila enjoys spending time with friends and family, bowling, going to the movies, and spending time outdoors.

Stacey Miller, PTA
Stacey Miller attended both the University of North Florida and Florida State College at Jacksonville; receiving her Bachelors in Math Education in 2008, and her Associate of Science in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2013. Stacey has been a Florida resident for the past 27 years and enjoys volleyball, soccer, water skiing, and swimming.

Monica Wilcox, PT
A skilled and compassionate physical therapist, Monica Wilcox joined Coastal Physical Therapy with 16 years of experience and a proven history of keeping patients committed to treatment plans both in and out of therapy sessions. In 2004, Monica earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Prior to Coastal Physical Therapy, Monica worked as a physical therapist at Ability Rehabilitation in Apopka, Florida, where she routinely performed diagnostic exams to evaluate a wide range of conditions. She has also worked at Lake Area Physical Therapy & Aquatics in Melrose, Florida, where she held the role of clinical director.

Mary Vukmir, DPT
An efficient and compassionate professional physical therapist, Mary Vukmir, DPT joined Coastal Physical Therapy with practical experience as a lead clinician in charge of care for a variety of orthopedic conditions. In 2015, Mary earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Saint Augustine of Health Science in Saint Augustine, Florida. Prior to Coastal Physical Therapy, Mary was caring for patients in roles as a lead clinician and lead physical therapist in Jacksonville. She has experience and certifications in performing treatments which include fit-for-duty, pelvic floor health, functional capacity evaluations and daily outpatient care.

Stacey Hanson, PTA
Stacey Hanson, PTA, earned her Associate of Arts from Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida. Stacey then earned her Associate of Science as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Florida State College in Jacksonville, Florida in August 2021. Prior to joining the Coastal family, Stacey worked at Rebound Rehabilitation in Fleming Island, Florida. Outside of the clinic, Stacey enjoys spending time with loved ones, traveling and the outdoors – especially hiking and kayaking. Stacey’s primary goal in the clinic is to restore her patients’ functional independence to enrich their lives. Stacey is fully committed to patient care and has become a valuable member of the Coastal Physical Therapy family.
